Ann La-Forker

Ann La-Forker is a passionate humanist scholar who has committed herself to a deep exploration of healthier ways for our human species to relate to—and possibly finally reunite with—life. Her devotion to this search led her to choose a professional path that reflects the diversity of fields one could engage in at that time. After extensive research travel in Asia and Africa during her Master’s studies in humanities, politics, and global affairs, she spent almost a decade as a project manager for an international music festival. At that time, she could not have known how much these skills would later serve her in building her own initiative. A strong longing for a more fulfilled sense of meaning—one that can only be found in relational depth—first led her to a series of professional trainings in psychotherapy and bodywork. The insights of neuroscience and a deep understanding of the often underestimated role of the autonomic nervous system in human behavior became the cornerstones of her trauma-therapeutic work as a Somatic Experiencing® practitioner in her own practice. But it was only with the founding of the global initiative Integrity For Future 2021 that the full potential of her multi-contextual active research came to life. The interview series “Integrity is …” aims to be a platform for deep collective self-exploration for the body of humanity. The combination of “Integrity Interviews,” held in a 1:1 setting, and “Integrity Talks,” designed as guided group experiences, marks the beginning of a new discourse culture among us—one that Ann had been missing so profoundly. As she is convinced that no one should be left out of this conversation, the project is built in a highly inclusive way, with a strong focus on accessibility for everyone. Her “aim”: to speak with each and everyone of the 8 billion people living on our planet – to reunite as one species and deepen our bond with life itself. Short version: Ann La-Forker is a passionate humanist scholar and systems thinker. As the founder of the global initiative Integrity For Future, she weaves together the diverse experiences of her professional journey. During her Master’s studies in humanities, politics, and global affairs, she traveled widely across Asia, Africa, and the US for research, gaining a deep appreciation for cultural and human complexity. For several years she was part of an ambitious team starting an international music festival from scratch. The experiences as project manager would later serve her for the building of her own initiative. In the search for more space for her neurodiverse way of being and driven by her longing for more relational depth, she trained in psychotherapy and bodywork, integrating neuroscience and the autonomic nervous system into trauma-informed practices. Her project Integrity For Future offers inclusive spaces for self-exploration and mutual learning. The 1:1 integrity interviews and guided group gatherings invite a new culture of dialogue, connection, and shared responsibility. Her deepest wish: to re-union as a whole species and deepen our bond to life.
