A civil and hydraulic engineer and infrastructure project manager with experience spanning major public infrastructure, international consulting and humanitarian water and sanitation operations.
He currently works with Voies navigables de France, where he has led major infrastructure projects and programmes.
With Médecins Sans Frontières, Francesco worked in field operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Madagascar, including responsibility for water, sanitation and hygiene systems serving vulnerable communities and healthcare facilities.
His experience has shaped a particular interest in how technical expertise, operational capabilities and local capacity-building can strengthen the long-term resilience of essential infrastructure.
